How's opticsplanet.com?

Post by acg1911 »

Midway doesn't stock the scope I want, and Brownells is $200 higher. Is optics planet OK? I'm buying an ACOG for my 556R.

Optics Planet is good to go if they have the scope you want and you've shopped the price.

Every so often I find a scope someplace else cheaper but some of those make you pay shipping.

I've bought 4 scopes, and 3 holsters from them. No worries.

Bought many a scope and holster from them. Nary a problem.

+1

I've been happy with my purchases from them.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Made several purchases from them over the years. With the exception of the last one, in Feb. this year, things were good, although shipping dates did slip a couple of times.

Will add that when I sent a terse e-mail requesting the last order be cancelled, I received a next day return note of apology. The order was cancelled without question, and included a request they be considered for future orders. I'm not big on non-performance, but also accept that sometimes things go south. The apology sastisfied me.

I'll continue to do business with them.

they're gtg. I have maybe done 8-12 transactions in the last 5 years and everyone was great. Except the time frame for shipping a dbl was a bit misconstrued but that was a lark probably.

Make sure you understand their shipping policy. Had said 2 day shipping....when late they said two day to get through their internal process to the shipping dept. So, make sure you understand. Plus they have always been late on anything I ever ordered. Also if not in stock, make sure delivery any time in the future is ok.
