I picked up an 18 1/2" barrel for my 11/87. My go to sporting load for the 11-87 is the 1290 FPS 1 ounce 3 1/2 dram Remington bird shot load. I was concerned about it cycling the action. It works just fine. Ran 300 rounds through it today without a hiccup. Nice shooting gun.

(Salvo) Re: 11-87 18 1/2" barrel shooting bidshot
Good to hear
I got a Salvo 12 (and its Rem choke adaptor) and have enjoyed it with an 870
I'd guess running the suppressor would add enough back pressure to help it run reliably.
1) agree? Disagree?
2) are there any 1100 or 11-87 shotgun models or barrels available with the screw in Remchoke?

I had mine threaded for a Winchester choke. $80 for the work if I remember right. With my 11-87 and 18 " smooth bore barrel I Shot a clay pigeon ( propped up ) from 70 yards away with a slug the other day using a bead sight. I was rather pleased with myself.

Nice shot
So my best is to just shorten and choke what I have?
Rem doesn't make a short choked model ?

They dont make a short choke threaded 11-87 barrel that I know of. Only ones Ive ever seen were I/C or cylinder bore. Mine was I/C before I had it threaded.
