I have an Ithaca 87 Marine in matte electroless nickel? or polished hard chrome? with the factory extended magazine. A real sweetie blaster for my lefty shooting but I've always wanted to add a speedfeed stock for extra rounds.
Considering that there is no listing for the Ithaca 37 or 87, and comparing the mounting for the Remington, Winchester or Mossberg, is it possible to pick the closest partial fit and start from there? Considerations to fit each of the others hardware- closest to the Ithaca? Which one? Compatable? A BIG job or a simple mix and match?
I'm assuming that the receiver will mate to a partial degree on any of the various speedfeed stocks but fitting is probably required to some degree? Fatal flaw? Revise or custom build the mounting hardware? Any ideas? Suggestions?
Any smiths in the know that could get me started on the best stock that would compliment a mounting match to fit or modify?
Well, can a speedfeed upgrade my pet Ithaca?
Well we shall see.
