Trial of John LeaSure Silencer Maker, May 21, 1996

Post by Historian »

Reading Paulson's remarkable book I ran across this designer who
I had not known much about. Most interesting his trials and tribulations.
Some might glean useful information from his trial.

"Koon, 116 S. Ct. at 2046 (emphasis added). The district court determined to depart from the guidelines at LeaSure's sentencing hearing on May 21, 1996, several days before the Supreme Court decided Koon on June 13, 1996. As a result, the district court was unaware of the dictates of Koon, and failed to make the"refined assessment of the many facts" required by that decision. Indeed, we are unsure of the facts, if any, the district court relied upon in determining that this case warranted a departure. Accordingly, we affirm LeaSure's conviction, vacate his sentence, and remand to the district court for resentencing in light of Koon."

In light of the increasing heinous assaults on our brave LEOs, for example the recent
murder of 2 NY Officers like Officer Rivera, across USA would it not be wonderful
if the diligent federal agents turn full focus on the career police-assassinating-thug, and their
contemptible enablers the Democrat District Attorney's, instead of
targeting and seeking to entrap benign honest working American Citizens.

Not like the 1940s when children looked up to and cherished the Feds as out protectors.
Sadly shame no longer is an operative concept.

God Bless every grieving family of our dear BlueWearing-Children who are being cut down protecting us.
