are we blue now?

Post by mr fixit »

curious.....logging in is a bit hit or miss. I get messages saying the board is temporarily unavailable. Now, I see it is blue, with a different layout. Did I miss something?

Definitely do not like. I log on late at night and read the day's posts. I am a new member so my opinion does not carry much weight.

There doesn't seem to be any style choices for the upgraded software.

There is this:

But I don't love the white text on black. I could probably painfully change one color at a time to try to get back the previous colors. Maybe when I have a free day.

Dammit. TargetTalk went to this bullshit format a while back and I hated it and I still hate it. Dammit. Hard to tell if there are recent replies to threads as the icons are anything but intuitive. And it's ugly. Dammit. I feel for you on the whole forum constantly crashing thing though, that sucks.

I used Grease Monkey to reformat everything the last time and posted the style sheet.

I'll probably use Grease Monkey again when I get some time.

Regardless of how the site looks now, or ultimately ends up looking, It's still a great place and I appreciate the wealth of information I have found here. If I have to go to a gold mine of information and find it doesn't meet my opinionated expectations......I'll still go to the gold mine.

Thanks for the site!

I will work to get the colors back. It has to be done manually one area at a time.

Yeah, things look pretty close to how they used to. Except for the blue bar near the top of this window and most any other I've seen tonight. And that's not at all offensive. Glad it's coming together. There's a bit of a pissing contest thread over on NFATalk about ST being down, a fair bit of abuse being flung about how bad this place has become. Kind of a shame, as there's lots of useful stuff here if one just filters out the Hush factor.

Hush only posts in the news section. I will work on a fix so that it does not show up in new posts.

I consolidated a lot of sub-forums today. For example, lots of rifle categories just became a single rifle area. Same with handguns.

Much better now. No complaints here. I have learned a lot from reading threads on this site. :D
