Kevin

Noticed KAC is releasing certain rifles out before Shot, can you breakdown the release dates/price for each model for 2012.

Thanks

Only system we release prior to SHOT was the BlockI/II SBR Upper.

The majority of these systems will be available within 60 days of SHOT -- we are building now as it where.

The EMC and EMR will still be available until they run out -- I think we have about 40 of each built.

The SR-15E3 LPR is subject to the barrels from Kreiger, and we are considering a LPR A1 with a CHF non Chrome barrel - we are getting under 1" with them and Match 5.56mm as well.
The LPR Krieger barrels are due in April for the first hundred or so, and so I would guess early/late May.

As always our Military contracts come first - so if we get significant new orders for M110's or M110K1 Carbines or Carbine Conversion kits this may impact delivery slightly.

The LPR SR 15 with the chrome lined CHF barrel would be great. I would bet it would outlast the stainless tube. If you guys make it, that's what I would prefer.

Will we be seeing a URX III model sized appropriately to fit an 11.5" Commando? Really looking to slim down and simplify my patrol rifle.

It is going to be a good year!

I will be upgrading my EMC with a new rail and muzzle brake and I'm torn between the 11.5" and the 14.5". With any luck, both uppers will be available, in which case I'll probably get the 11.5" complete and grab the 14.5" upper.

I think I'll be doing the same as Post Tensioned. New rail, brake, and suppressor on an EMC. One of the new SBRs and another upper to get both the 11.5 and 14.5. Plus the 18" precision rifle wouldn't hurt either.

Looks like some of the newer SR 25s have the right side bolt release. Somehow I don't feel so special now. Oh well, somehow I never seem to use ambi features anyway, left or right. Muscle memory I guess?

I like the ambi bolt release, but I find I don't use it. If I shot lefty, then it would be great to use, but my trigger finger is too long to use it efficiently, since it just hits the dust cover. I really like the ambi mag release, I use it all the time.

While some of the example SR-25's have right side bolt releases, I do not think any 2012 SR-25 will have that.

Will KAC be offering their SBR or SR-15 in 300 blackout this year? I haven't heard anything and I was wondering.

We are using up existing forgings, eventually once the old forgings they will all be the current model. We tried to give an estimate on this once before and it didnt work out.

Will the URX 3.1 grip panels and handstops work with the lunchbox rails?

I have an spr class coming up mid April. Would it be possible to get one of the 18" uppers with the urx3.1 on it in time before my class? If so could I get a price for just the upper?

Thanks

Finally, I'm going to be so Broke again this year. If you spend more than 8k a year on KAC does that make you an addict?

Any ECC's available yet? MSRP? Advantages over EC for a civilian?

Kevin, any idea why the weight of the EMC vs EC went from 8.2 lbs to 10+ lbs? Sounds like the major change that would increase the EC's weight is the non-dimpled barrel and I can't imagine that resulting in a 2 lb gain. Maybe 6-8 ounces, but still under 9 lbs.

Same with the ECC and there the difference is the forend, and that should be lighter with the ECC.

I just saw a new SR-15 Mod 1 for sale and it came with the new rail panels and handstop. Can anyone confirm if these new rail panels are sold individually yet?
