I understand that Sabre Defense will have the Ase Utra Suppressors sometime around February 2008. I am interested in their suppressors and wanted feedback from anyone who owns them or has shot them? How do they compare to the major American can manufactureres? Durability? Sound? Etc.
Thanks

I have a small feedback about Ace product Ultra Jet-z CQB.
I had a brief-field test, of course w/o any sound meter .
First of all at was upgraded to sit on AKS-74U (Krinkov) witch was a host gun. Other items to compare local 5.45 mm system and quite old 5.56 mm Brugger and Thomet also AK threaded.
local is rated about 27 db reduction (long barrel AK-74, usual 5.45x39 7N6 ammo), ACE sounded to everyone better about 30%, B&T was in a middle. 2 magazine dumps did not affect any of the system.
At the same time ACE is much smaller, but heavier than local, roughly like B&T.
Edit: P.S. Mention that weight influenced by adding of quite heavy steel part to match AK thread.

Nice to see there is interest in our products in the U.S. as well.
The process with Sabre has been long and time has gone in the past years to further develope our suppressor technology, both material and production process wise.
I do believe once the suppressors built by Sabre reach the market, people can make accurate comparisons to the suppressors already on the market. I can also say that I belivee the products will compare quite well with the existing suppressors size, weight, performance and strength wise.

I have a Ase-Utra S-7 in 338 Lapua Magnum. It is excellent. My Jet-Z Compact is very good too.
I look forward to having those put up against best US cans (Thundertrap and similar). I am sure Ase-Utra will not have to be ashamed of anything in these tests.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention that I have a AU .22 Pistol can too. Compact, very quiet. Lots of parts in case one wants to disassemble it. Lowers the signature very well. 60 Euros when I bought it a few years back. That is about 100 USD including VAT22%. No paperwork required in Finland.

Tuuka - are the rest of the BR group suppressors going to be made here? or just Ase Utra?
Not that I would not buy a Z-Jet - but I also want a T4 Ranger from BR-T

Kevin,
There really is no "BR Group", that was some sort of marketing name that BR-Tuote wanted to promote at some point and we asked them to cease the use of that.
As we are completely separate companies and the licencing agreement that we have with Sabre Defence only concerns Ase Utra products, they will not be making any BR-Tuote Reflex suppressors.
Why the need for the T4?
Take Care!

Kevin,
We have shorter version of the jet-Z CQB suppressor, it is available either as the thread mounting CQBS version or the quick attaching CQBS-QM model.
It was originally made due to a customer request and due to our product design it was very easy to take into production.
It is about 1" shorter than the regular jet-Z CQB or CQB-QM.

I know this is an old thread but whatever happened to this? Are Ase Utra suppressors available in the US now or not?

Wow, a 3 year bump!
Answer is NO.
Answer is NO.
Re: Ase Utra Suppressors
Darn, what a shame. Reading the thread, it sounded like it was going to happen.
Re: Ase Utra Suppressors
Hi,
Yes, our co-operation with Sabre Defence did not lead to actual production there.
However I am in the process of getting at least some of our suppressors into the country for review and testing.
We have had some contacts from companies that are interested in licence manufacturing our products and it is likely that I will meet up with some at the SHOT Show.
Regards!

Re: Ase Utra Suppressors
I've always wondered why no one attempted to license the Ase Utra cans. Seems like licensing a mature design from an established company would benefit both parties.
