gun sounds/videos for game needed

Post by [R-Dev]sofad »

hi,

im sofad, im coming from berlin/germany (thats for my monkey-english.. ;)) and im the sound producer for Project Reality.
Project Reality (PR) is a free modifikation for the wellknown PC-game Battlefield 2.

in my position, im searching for realistic sounds from all sort of weapons.
and thats why im here. :)

if someone can/will help me, i would be happy about all sorts of sounds/videos with a better soundquality than the ones at youtube, googlevideo and so on..

[like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=socgmULGVOA

and if someone would have a decent recording gear and some time, it would be a great help if he can record some sounds.

im looking especially for a good recording of the sonic boom from a bullet (without muzzle noise).

thanks for your help! :)

I don’t know if this is good enough for you, but this is a federal gold match 168grn fired from my 20" savage at 415 meters. There is hardly ANY muzzle noise, and the super-sonic crack can be heard traveling downrange.

Hope this helps...

I had the same request some month ago for an authentic SWAT 4 project.

You won't find many good recordings. I have still some self recorded sound files, maybe you can use them.

Well, I've got some MP5-SD, Mk23, MSG90A1...some free-for-all sounds someone collected for Operation Flashpoint.

But the quality is not the best for most.

It would be much easier for both of us to communicate in our native languages. You got ICQ or some instant messenger? I am from Kiel, so we should speak german.

I love Battlefield 2!! I would like to see some more suppressed guns like assault rifles... and I don’t think the frag grenades are loud enough..
