Anyone been to Cuba lately?

Post by YugoRPK »

Putting together a vacation for May or so of next year. Doing the beach thing this time. I'm leaning towards Cuba. Prices are good for flight and decent lodgings flying out of Vancouver BC. I really don't care a bit about their politics or our governments misguided "advice" on travel there. How are the all inclusive buffets and drinks? Thats what I want to know.

I have a friend that went recently but as part of a church group or something similar that is supposed to be sanctioned travel. He's been before, he loves it.

Cuba is one of my favorite spots in latin america. The people are nice, the food and music are good, and the cigars are second to none.

We have a friend from Cuba. The last time he and his family went there to visit his relatives, they had to actually sneak off the resort to see the relatives. There was an expectation and a lot of pressure to remain on the resort property, including armed guards. What a potential paradise though, if only freedom existed there.
