M24x1 thread clean up?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

M24x1 thread clean up?

I have a AX50 threaded for M24x1. Can this portion of the barrel be cleaned up and rethreaded to 7/8-14? The barrel is already short IMO at 27” for a .50. I’d rather not cut it any shorter to rethread. Thanks! K
