I was thinking about this the other day, but yeah, I've got quite a few guns I need to get first.

They did an episode where they say "The characters in this film are fictional and not based on any real person," but it was obviously based on me except they had me murder someone with a bow. That photo of me with the bow was on my website at the time.

No. They appear to have snooped around on my website and used the info to make the character as much like me as they could get away with.

You should sue them for defacement of character.

Portraying you as a super intelligent, steely-eyed eccentric with unique interests? How dare they misrepresent you!

The defamation was that the doppelganger got caught.

Yeah, no kidding.

I occasionally tip-toe around actually teasing Robert, but I would never truly mess with him. He's got that crazy look about him.

Archery. .OK. Could I suggest a slingshot forum? That would REALLY be cool.

My wife and I LOVE to shoot our bows in the back yard. She has a nice Browning Micro Midas and I have an old Jennings somehow has grown on me. Bowhunting is the only way to get any kind of decent deer season around here so I do it as much as possible.

Why not? Archery is indeed low noise weaponry.

So Rob, you are an MIT man? How long ago were you there? I ask because I'm wondering if you may remember my grandfather who was a professor there. Glenn C Williams, he was a chemical engineer.

The odds of me knowing someone specific there are extremely low. There are over 10,000 people in any given year so over a 10 year period it is like the size of a city.

Hey, you were int the ARMY... did you know "insert some name here"

Used to drive me nuts.

I got a bow kind of like that.. I used to shoot 5 spot target archery. Hoyt Pro Medalist. (dates me) set up for Beeman Carbon fiber arrows.

Also, a Hoyt Pro Hunter set up for AL hunting arrows. I took lessens from Eric Hall in Hartford. He was AMAZING!

He was better with a bow than I was with a rifle offhand.

Watching Eric shoot for 20 minutes is what got me interested in taking target archery up. When he knew I was a competitive target shooter he said it would be very similar and I should take to it easily. Once I figured it out it was a hoot.
Long distance, the next best thing to being there!

Allright, I get it. I figured there was a better than average chance given that he was on the faculty for fourty plus years. Sorry.

I don't see how archery is lame. It is hard-core.

Yes hard-core lame..... I agree  I just like bitching about change that is all. I really like this forum because it provides something for everyone beyond just silencers and guns, so in all truth I am down with the archery section.

What's wrong with archery?
Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war;
That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.
