Hello all!
I recently purchased a Marlin Trapper and a SilencerCo 46m. I also happen to have a large stockpile of Hornady 350gr .458" RN bullets scored years ago for cheap. So now I'm trying to come up with a sub-sonic load for these bullets. I found a load online using Trail Boss but sadly this is not a powder I have and I can't find any to buy.
Anyone have any sub-sonic loads for the 45-70 using 350gr bullets?
Thank you!

45-70 350gr sub-sonic load?
Re: 45-70 350gr sub-sonic load?
I'm not one to usually respond to myself, but no one else has said anything.
I did a bit of testing with Alliant Unique today and found 13.5gr under a 350gr Hornady RN bullet seemed to yield a reliable 960fps. I found at 14gr it would jump up to 1100fps.

Re: 45-70 350gr sub-sonic load?
Thank you for the reply. I'm in the same boat, looking at loads for Berry's 350gr plated bullets and then will start to work on a 480gr Lyman cast bullet that I will powder coat.
I need to take a chronograph to the range soon, but shot some with (I think, I'll double check) 11.5 gr Titegroup, very light shooting and if they are subsonic will be a good load. accurate enough for now (short range plinking).
