Here is another one I made a while back, this was just a none firing model copied (exactly) from my original to work out the process and tooling etc.
Took many, many hours but was an interesting project and at least I have the potential to make a working copy one day if I ever get round to it and can get NZ Police permission etc....should be possible as I have manufacturing dealers license.

Re: Welrod copy
Beautiful work. If you made the finish less perfect, I wouldn't have been sure which was yours!
I'm curious - what is "many, many hours"... about 10-20 or closer to 100?

Re: Welrod copy
Would have been a couple of hundred or so all up. I am a bit pedantic with such things so everything is with about 0.005” of the original.
There was a lot of special tooling made to get things exact, for example on the underside of the trigger where the tube is flattened it could just be quizzed in a vice but the original had a rounded for so I made a press tool for that.
The rear sight was not a standard dovetail so I made a cutter for that, the four small screws were a different radius so I made a radius turning attachment for the lathe . and the list goes on ha ha ha

Wow - That kind of attention to detail is hard to find... let me know when you relocate to the US, and want a business partner.

Brother Enfield, so nice to see you again and seeing that you
are generously sharing your skill and craft. Inspiring as usual.
A treat coming back to this site which has cleaned up so
beautifully.
Best, my friend.

Thanks for the welcome back, seems a bit quieter than the old days but still a bit going on here.

Amazing work! Where did you get a copy of the original dimensional blueprints?

Great YouTube animation from which one
can 'easily' deduce dimensions.

Reproduction of a historic piece should be accurate down to the metals used. A modern replacement would be a different matter for another post. !
